Privacy policy

What this policy covers

This policy describes how Sidelot handles information when you use usesidelot.com and its OTC market application. It covers the application’s records and uploaded content. Solana, wallet applications, X, and other third-party services have their own privacy practices.

Information the application processes

Sidelot does not ask for or store wallet private keys or recovery phrases. Wallet providers hold and use those credentials according to their own design.

How information is used

Information supports market discovery, displaying offers and market profiles, proving control of a wallet, preparing exact settlement transactions, reconciling public chain receipts, attributing fees, preventing replay and abuse, and diagnosing errors. A saved wallet-provider preference helps reconnect a previously authorized wallet.

What other people can see

Market profiles, uploaded pictures and banners, website and social links, launcher and fee-recipient addresses, offers, and settlement details are designed to be visible to people who can access the application. Do not upload confidential information. Solana transactions and addresses are public and may be viewed or indexed independently of Sidelot. OTC does not mean private or anonymous.

Providers and external services

The application is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare services for runtime, database storage, and image storage. Hosting access controls may require an OpenAI sign-in and may use provider-managed cookies. Solana RPC providers process requests containing public addresses and transaction data. DexScreener supplies indicative token information and reference quotes. Wallet applications process connection and signing requests. Links to X and market-supplied sites take you to independently operated services.

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Sidelot may also disclose information when necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations, protect the service, or investigate abuse. The current application does not include advertising trackers or a sale-of-personal-information feature.

Local storage and cookies

Sidelot stores a preferred wallet-provider name in browser local storage. Authoritative market and trade records are stored on the server. Hosting or wallet services may use their own authentication storage or cookies. You can clear browser storage and disconnect wallet access through your wallet’s settings; disconnecting does not remove public chain history or revoke an already signed transaction.

Retention and requests

Market, order, image, and settlement records are retained to operate the service and preserve transaction history. Expired authorization challenges are eligible for cleanup after one day. There is no fixed deletion period for all other records at this stage. Operational logs may follow the hosting provider’s retention settings.

To request access, correction, removal of a market image, or deletion of information held by Sidelot, contact @SidelotOTC on X. You may be asked to prove control of the relevant wallet with a message signature. Requests are handled subject to applicable law, fraud prevention, and recordkeeping needs. Public blockchain records cannot be deleted by Sidelot, and third-party copies may remain.

Security, children, and changes

Access controls and signature checks help protect application records, but no system can promise absolute security. The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. This policy may change as the product changes; the date at the top identifies the current version. Contact @SidelotOTC with privacy questions.
