Solana reference

This chapter covers Solana. For the main Robinhood Chain network, see the Robinhood guide. Wallets, token addresses and settlement mechanics are specific to each network.

Explore and verify a market

Choose Explore markets to browse listings. Search by market name, symbol, or mint, and filter solo or community markets. Open a market to see its mint, launcher, fee recipient, declared role, links, offers, and token data.

The market cards show a token price, 24-hour change and market cap when available, plus the best visible bid and ask compared with the live reference. Offer summaries refresh while the page is visible. An offer can still be filled or cancelled between a refresh and your click; the fill flow rechecks its state.

Where price, chart, and MC come from

Quotes come from DexScreener. Sidelot selects an indexed Solana pair with the exact base mint and the highest reported USD liquidity among the returned pairs. The timestamp is when Sidelot retrieved the data, not the timestamp of an oracle update or the token’s most recent trade.

Price data refreshes every 30 seconds while the page is visible. A reference older than 90 seconds or marked stale is not used for above/below-market comparisons. Missing prices display as unavailable. The chart is a separate DexScreener embed and can update at a different time from the price cards.

Market cap (MC) is the provider-reported circulating valuation. Fully diluted valuation (FDV) is a different metric and is never silently substituted for missing market cap. Displayed volume and liquidity belong to the selected DEX pair, not Sidelot trading volume. Neither a market cap nor pool liquidity is a guarantee that your OTC order will fill.

Above or below the market

A comparison uses the offer’s fixed unit price and the latest usable reference in the same quote currency. SOL references divide the token’s USD price by SOL’s USD price. USDC references use the actual USDC/USD reference rather than assuming exactly $1.

For example, an offer at 0.009 SOL against a current 0.010 SOL reference is 10% below market. An offer at 0.011 SOL is 10% above. The label excludes trading fees, transaction fees and rent. A discount is relative to an indicative external reference, not a guaranteed executable price elsewhere.

premium_or_discount_percent = (offer_unit_price / current_reference - 1) × 100

Create a bid or an ask

  1. Connect the maker wallet and open Post an offer on the market.
  2. Choose a wallet-held offer, or funded escrow only if that mode is available and activated for the market.
  3. Choose Bid / buy to buy the market’s base token, or Ask / sell to sell it.
  4. Select native SOL or USDC as the quote currency and enter the base-token quantity. A USDC base token cannot also use USDC as its quote.
  5. Enter a reference unit price or request an indicative reference. Adjust the premium or discount, then inspect the final fixed unit price.
  6. Select an expiry: 1, 3, 7, or 30 days; the form defaults to 7 days.
  7. Check amounts, recipient and fee estimates, then approve the requested authorization. Funding an escrow order requires a separate on-chain transaction.

A premium calculates a fixed price

The slider offers offsets from −50% to +50%. The manual percentage field supports −99% through +1,000%. The final price, rather than the percentage alone, determines the order’s terms. The form accepts fixed decimal values; use the mint’s supported precision for quantity and do not enter scientific notation.

The reference and offset set the posted price once. The order does not automatically track subsequent price changes. Its live above/below-market label may therefore change even while the order price stays the same. Request a new reference and review the final number if the market has moved.

Wallet-held orders can be posted without locking funds. A later fill may fail if the maker has spent the required balance or the tokens are frozen. Funded orders deposit the required assets and do not require the maker to sign each fill.

Editing and cancelling

An owner can edit the price of the remaining quantity of an open wallet-held order. The current edit flow does not change its side, quote currency, quantity or expiry. Cancel and create another order when those terms need to change.

An active trade attempt reserves the order; wait for completion, cancellation where still allowed, or on-chain expiry reconciliation before editing or cancelling. Closing the browser does not release a signed transaction. Funded-order terms are fixed by the contract; cancel the unfilled balance and create a new order to change its price. An expired funded listing may still hold funds until a refund transaction executes.
